According to South Korea's Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC), its ETRI (Electronic and Telecommunication Research Institute) demonstrated a successful trial of 3GPP LTE spec-compliant system. This was an indoor over-the-air trial and the system demonstrated 105 Mbps downlink and 65 Mbps uplink speed with 120 km/h mobility. Samsung and KTF were also involved in developing and demonstrating the system. ETRI said that most of the technologies that were co-developed during the system development were transfered to Samsung.
