According to LG, a successful demonstration of handoff between LTE and CDMA2000 EV-DO base stations was performed last week at Nortel's R&D center in Ottawa, Canada. The demonstration used LG's dual-mode mobile test terminal 'M13' which supports CDMA2000 EV-DO (850/1900MHz) and LTE(700MHz). It featured seamless streaming video, web surfing, and internet telephony.
The news article is in Korean. Although the Korean news article claims it is the world's first demonstration of LTE-CDMA handoff, Motorola already demonstrated such capability back in Mar. of 2008 (see Motorola Demonstrates Industry’s First CDMA/EV-DO Rev-A to LTE Network Handoffs). BTW, the LG device M13 was in spotlight in June of this year (see FCC approves LTE / EV-DO hybrid gear from LG).
