BNamericas reports that America Movil’s Chilean operation is expecting to have a 4G network in place on which to run tests by late-2010/early 2011. Claro CEO Gerardo Munoz told BNamericas, ‘The market is asking for more applications, for more bandwidth, but in order for this to take place [commercial launch of 4G], we need the spectrum. 60MHz of spectrum [the limit imposed by sector regulator Subtel] is not enough, it is a significant limitation.'
