Nokia Siemens Networks to deploy one of the country’s first pilot LTE networks for Telefónica O2 Germany

Telefónica O2 Germany is one of the first operators to start LTE networks in Germany. Nokia Siemens Networks will supply O2’s pilot LTE network in Halle (East Germany) and will start network deployment in September 2010 in the 2.6 GHz and 800 MHz spectrum. The network will go into operation by the end of this year; it is not planned to operate the pilot LTE network commercially in the first phase.
