The Home & Networks Mobility business of Motorola, Inc. today announced the launch of its Long Term Evolution (LTE) Evolved Packet Core (EPC) solution — the Wireless Broadband Core (WBC) 700 portfolio. The Motorola WBC 700 solution is comprised of Motorola’s mobility management entity (MME), packet and serving gateways (P-GW and S-GW), and a policy and charging rules function server (PCRF).
The WBC 700 portfolio, which helps operators meet the rapid growth in subscriber demands for mobile broadband by giving them the opportunity to increase revenue while substantially reducing cost per bit, is scheduled to be available in late 2009.
